QUESTION
Dearest Robina,
Perhaps you can assist me in a better understanding of karma’s role in the transmigration to the next life.
At age 87, I felt it is past due that I move on but I am guessing that my karma needs to attend to things yet to be done. Perhaps guidance can be achieved through deeper prayer and meditation?
I make an effort to deal with the many “gifts” that have come my way, but feel weak and weary.
Is there something you can recommend I do to strengthen my coping?
Bless you!

ANSWER
Dearest C,
I hear your heart!
The law of karma is such that every millisecond of what we think and do and say is the main process that produces the person we become. That’s the essence of it.
It would blow our minds if we could remember how much goodness we must have created in the past to simply be who we are now, having this human body, this intelligence, this good heart, all the good things that have happened to us.
As long as we have this precious human life, every moment really does count. So, there you are at 87 and here’s me at 80 — it doesn’t matter. Every positive thought, every positive word, every positive action sows seeds that will ripen, just naturally, as another human body, more intelligence, more good conditions, more happiness.
This life is the fruit of past seeds so we use it to sow more seeds that will ripen as the next life. Every second in this human body is worthwhile.
And a powerful way to sow delicious seeds in our mind is to rejoice in our good fortune, as I mention above. This certainly should lift us and energize us to want to create more virtue.
What do you think?
Much love,
Robina
QUESTION
Dearest Robina,
So very much thanks for your thoughtful response. I suppose I was becoming lazy, run down and impatient.
Positive thoughts and action are definitely the way to go. I will go to the center in February for special teachings on meditation.
Your words have given me the kick in the pants that I needed. I am grateful.
Sending love and blessings.
